About me

I taught high school/secondary school students for four years before I decided to take the big leap and take on ‘stay-at-home’ mothering. I love books, longan trees, poetry, Earl Grey tea, the sea, bicycling, dogs, music, meeting people from other cultures, hearing different languages, playing the piano and traveling.  I have an MApplied Linguistics degree which I am quite happy with; but I would have preferred, at this point, to have obtained advanced skills on whipping-up-a-meal-in-ten-minutes and home-decorating.  I also find facing the computer screen physically challenging, which may explain the frequent typos and my inability to detect them till much later.  And sometime, in the future, I’d like to study again, but I can’t decide on whether to attempt research degrees in literature, philosophy, creative writing, or certification in gardening and singing-without-deafening-your -neighbors. In the meantime, I write, teach and enjoy being wife to Adrian and mom to two gorgeous and creative children.
